Chocolate Is Magic

Is chocolate really magic?
Ask someone in love if there's magic in it. Ask someone who enjoys extreme physical activity, who loves to work out hard, enjoy the rewards and the high from running or swimming. And don't forget to ask yourself, you know the bliss you feel after mind blowing moments of pleasure. There's magic all around us, it's what makes us feel good. Is chocolate magic? You have to answer that one yourself.
Is magic a scientific term?
There's a lot of science informing us about the natural ingredients in chocolate, particularly théobromine. There a great quote in the Huffington Post that sums up my thoughts pretty much, "Chocolate also contains other substances with mood elevating effects. One is phenethylamine, which triggers the release of pleasurable endorphins and potentates the action of dopamine, a neurochemical associated with sexual arousal and pleasure. Phenethylamine is released in the brain when people become infatuated or fall in love". With me, the scent of chocolate makes me crazy, it definitely puts me in a receptive frame of mind and makes me feel rally good.
Rocket science
Your brain loves to be stimulated, the psychoactive ingredients in chocolate know exactly how to do it. For you and me, that means the chocolate magic, that high we get, is real, the same receptors, or so say the rocket scientists (a//k/a pharmacologists) anyway. Our brains are ready and waiting all the time for these receptors, the ones that are known as the cannabinoid receptors, to put us in a state of higher being. The Chocoville team calls them magic receptors, we feel it's more scientific.
Is all chocolate alike?
You already know the answer to that question. We all don't need to consume the extra sugars and fats in industrial chocolate, we do want pure, clean chocolate. There's a feedback effect you also want, when you eat our chocolate you first notice the mouthfeel is amazing, the texture is sublime and the flavor is balanced and subtle. The next thing you notice, because the magic has started and your brain is getting all happy, is the experience intensifies. Have you ever notices how good food tastes so much better when those smiley little magic receptors are lighted up?
